Woodwork doesn’t have to be noisy.. This class focuses on smaller scale pieces using hand tools only. Master the traditional crafts that require concentration and intuitive design. You can even sit down if you like!
Using hand tools, in this class you will work on three small scale projects, focussing on careful implementation of hand held tools and more traditional woodworking skills.
The three projects will include learning techniques such as,
• Carving
• Chiselling
• Marquetry (using craft knives and templates)
• Mitre cutting
• Accurate marking out
• Finishing techniques including wax, polish and oil.
• Assembly techniques
The projects will be pre planned with guidance how to make each one, but there is scope to add your own designs and tweak the overall look.
