Pottery garden art: hand building ceramic cane toppers and garden totems.
Bring creativity into the garden in this inspiring 10-week ceramics course. Using a variety of hand-building techniques, you’ll design and create your own collection of unique ceramic garden art, from sculptural cane toppers and striking garden totems to other decorative outdoor pieces.
Experiment with form, texture, pattern and surface decoration as you develop your ideas in a relaxed, supportive studio environment.
You’ll be guided through every stage of the making process, from shaping and refining your work to glazing and the final firing.
Perfect for beginners and those with some ceramics experience, this course is all about exploring your creativity, learning new skills, and making beautiful pieces that bring character and colour to your outdoor space.
Please bring a notebook to each session. You’ll be encouraged to record your project ideas, sketches, clay bodies, techniques, glaze combinations, and firing notes—creating your own personal ceramics journal to refer to long after the course has finished.
