On this course you will learn or continue to learn:
How to use several different techniques to build ceramic forms.
How to select the best method for a particular ceramic form.
How to use surface decoration to good effect.
How to use your previous experience to raise the standards of your work.
Simple and more advanced glazing techniques.
How the basic processes of ceramics work.
How to record your ideas and progress How to evaluate your own and other students’ work in a positive and supportive way.
Suitable for complete beginners as well as those with experience of working with clay.
About the Bradford college pottery studio
The studio is well equipped with materials, tools and equipment and you do not need to bring any with you. We do recommend bringing and using a small notebook to keep a record of your work and ideas. You are welcome to bring your own tools but you will not be able to keep them at Bradford college.
You will be expected to follow Health and Safety guidance and our code of conduct whenever you use Bradford college’s ceramics studio.
