In this course you will be supported in designing and making your own ceramic pieces, using a variety of techniques as appropriate.
No previous ceramics experience is required as each student will be taught according to their requirements. Beginners are taught basic techniques to begin with so that they quickly go on to develop their own individual skills. More advanced students are shown new techniques to stretch their experience further.
You will be encouraged to develop your own ideas to produce finished pieces using established and experimental methods. You will be encouraged to use YouTube, magazines and books to broaden your ideas and discover more about ceramics.
About the Bradford college pottery studio
The studio is well equipped with materials, tools and equipment and you do not need to bring any with you. We do recommend bringing and using a small notebook to keep a record of your work and ideas. You are welcome to bring your own tools but you will not be able to keep them at Bradford college.
You will be expected to follow Health and Safety guidance and our code of conduct whenever you use Bradford college’s ceramics studio.
