Member’s drop-in session in our pottery studio.
Please note that these sessions are designed for experienced potters or members who have previously attended a Pottery Room induction at Hive. The Member Pottery Drop-In sessions will not supervised by a tutor.
You must be a member to access independent drop-in sessions. If you cannot see a book button below then please ensure you are logged in to the site and your membership is up to date.
The studio is well equipped with materials, tools and equipment and you should not need to bring any tools or materials with you. We do recommend bringing and using a small notebook to keep a record of your work and ideas. You are welcome to bring your own tools but you will not be able to keep them at Hive.
The ceramics studio has a small reference library which you can consult for inspiration and information about ceramics and ceramic decoration. We encourage students to look at a variety of sources for inspiration and information including magazines and periodicals, as well as online sources such as Pinterest and YouTube.
You will be expected to follow Health and Safety guidance whenever you use Hive’s ceramics studio.
Sessions will be released weekly, and we ask that you limit yourself to one session per week.
Session times will be 10am-12noon or 1-3pm, and you must allow yourself time within your session to clear up as we will be closed in between sessions to clean down work surfaces.
If you require physical support to work at Hive you can bring one friend or support worker with you by arrangement. Please contact us to arrange.
Please view our current COVID-19 restrictions before booking / visiting.
