Knitting and Crochet Skills Wed Evening – January

Start date:

19 January 2022

Start time:

18:30

Suitable for beginners and those looking to improve their skills or build their confidence.
If you have never knitted or crocheted before, this course will enable you to build the basic skills needed to complete a simple project.
For experienced participants, there will be 5 specific “skill building” sessions aimed at developing your abilities and enabling you to tackle more adventurous projects.
In the first session we will talk about choosing the right project for you, covering a variety of areas such as yarn choice, pattern difficulty, and fit (is this shape actually going to suit you?), Basically all the things we need to think about when we’re starting a project (whether it’s a garment, a toy or a blanket) so that the finished item does justice to the time and effort we’ve spent working on it.
The content of the remaining 4 sessions will be influenced by the experience and wishes of the class. If you have a project you are currently working on, or that you aspire to completing, you are encouraged to bring it with you. If not, come along with an open mind and prepare to be inspired and encouraged to be brave.
