This course is for students aged 7 to 11, and will focus on developing practical skills and confidence in the workshop.
Students will be encouraged to think creatively and independently as they are guided through a range of woodworking techniques and shown how to safely use hand and power tools.
Problem solving, attention to detail and quality of finish will be key areas across all the classes, and students will produce several project pieces to take home.
The core skills taught throughout the sessions can be developed and refined to be applied in future projects.
The course is run by Emily Parkin, a qualified, experienced Design Technology teacher and freelance designer.
