This 10 week course is a great introduction to this new and very popular printing process.
Gelli printing is random – the process means that you never really know what you’ll get. You will learn that you can control some of the artistic process but not all of it. You can mix a few colours on the plate and get a multicolour background. You can add texture by using stencils, stamps and found objects and make your backgrounds even more interesting. You can print the same paper a few times and create layered patterns and backgrounds – the possibilities are endless!
Please wear closed toe shoes (no sandals), and bring an apron or wear an old shirt as the course gets a little messy.
