Walking for Wellbeing – Out and About with Hive – (starts 08/04/24)

Start date:

8 April 2024

Start time:

12:30

The local area of Saltaire, with woods, river, canal and outdoor community spaces is an ideal space in which to spend some time outdoors.

This course is for everyone who would like to walk in a group and discover how walking in natural environments can be beneficial to mind and body.

Taking time out in natural environments is associated with a reduction in stress, improved mood, more positive emotions and a decrease in anxiety.
New research has found that there are significant further benefits which we will discuss and explore as we take in our surroundings.

Sessions will be weekly, Mondays 12.30 – 2.00 pm.

We will meet at the Art Room, Hive (currently St Peter’s Church, Saltaire) and return to Hive for those who wish to do so.
The pace will be gentle and there a public toilets within the areas we will visit.
Please feel free to bring refreshments or a packed lunch as well as wearing appropriate footwear and warm, waterproof clothing if the weather is a little inclement. If the ground is very wet we will avoid any very muddy areas.
