Any information we collect is done so in accordance with the GDPR 2016.

Personal Data

Registration.  When you register on the Hive web site, we collect your name, email address and contact details. 

We keep this information so that we can recognise you as a customer, provide you with services, process bookings and give you course information.

We will never collect information about you without your consent and we will never share this information with anyone else.

If you have opted in to our mailing list you will receive emails and newsletters with information about Hive activities.  You can opt out at any time by clicking on the “unsubscribe me” link at the bottom of the email.

Sensitive Personal Data

As a charity, we are requested by our funders to collect information in order to provide statistics about the gender, ethnicity etc. of our service users. This information is collected in the "monitoring" section of Hive's User Registration Form.  Once collected the data is anonymised and never passed to a third party in a state that allows the identification of the individuals who have provided it. We encourage service users to fill in this "monitoring" section of the User Registration Form, but it is not a requirement of registration or booking. 


Hive uses cookies on its web site to recognise and track users as well as to help provide its customers with a pleasing online experience. Cookies are small text files that web sites can send to your computer. They allow us to make the use of Hive's web site faster and easier for users.
