WEA - Knitting and Crochet - Term 3

This is a relaxed and friendly course ideal for both beginners and more advanced knitters, loom knitters and crocheters. Focusing on starting a project you will be guided through what you should consider when choosing a suitable project such as; is the skill level right for me? what equipment will I need? which yarns will be best for my project, and why? The tutor will guide and support you whilst you work on your individual projects. Each week the tutor will demonstrate and teach a particular skill or topic which will help you become more confident working by yourself and encourage more advanced learners to tackle something new. There will be demonstrations of some useful basic and more advanced knitting, looming and crochet stitches. Additionally you will find out how yarn is made, some of the different fibres that can be used and why some yarns are better suited for your particular projects than others.
