WEA - Sewing for all - Term 3

This is a relaxed and friendly course ideal for both beginners and more advanced sewers. Focusing on starting a project you will be guided through what you should consider when choosing a suitable project such as; is the skill level right for me? What equipment will I need and which fabrics will be best for my project, and why? Each week the tutor will demonstrate and teach a particular topic which will help you become more confident working by yourself from commercial patterns, and encourage more advanced learners to tackle something new. Teaching will cover basic skills, hand sewing and using a sewing machine alongside some more advanced techniques in line with individual student projects. Additionally you will find out a little about how fabrics are made, and why some fabrics will be better than others for your particular project.
